Peaceful Communication Revolution

I have always wanted to improve the world. Save the poor. Feed the hungry. Build shelters for the homeless. Anything, really, as long as it makes the world a little better. I have never actually done anything, though. I’ve held myself back, thinking that I don’t have enough resources to save anyone but myself. I can’t go to Africa to feed the hungry, I don’t know how to build shelters, and the list of excuses goes on and on.

Now I have finally found a way to make the world better. I’m going to join, and maybe some day lead, the peaceful communication revolution. I’m going to start by helping parents practice unconditional parenting using non-violent parenting strategies. This way, I’m teaching their children (by proxy) how to communicate peacefully. These children will one day become adults, entering society in many various places, bringing their communication skills with them.

If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children.
